About

NOTE: I am in no way affiliated with the Thomas & Friends brand or its owners, other than being a lifelong fan.

Hello,

I hope that my fellow modelers find this a nice source of high quality content. Thank you for your support, and I hope you find something here that you like.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or inquiries at [email protected]

My Story

I was introduced to model trains at a very young age and built my first layout on a piece of particleboard with a squished oval of track. I intended to base it on the Island of Sodor but eventually attempted to model the old Mine Train Through Natures Wonderland ride at Disneyland. This is my one and only layout and, due to space restrictions, it remains in storage. I do however have a couple of dioramas that I built to take pictures and display models.

I am currently working on HO/OO scale models, which include but are not limited to prototypes that were used as a basis for Thomas and Friends characters. My ultimate goal is to have a large Island of Sodor layout in the future where I can recreate the Thomas and Friends series that I grew up with.

Building these models has taught me invaluable skills in engineering and crafting that I only hope I continue to learn.

The Websites and Social Media

Now that I have the skills and equipment, my goal for this website, my Train Enthusiasts’ Shop web-store, YouTube Channel, and Twitter account is to provide other modelers with the resources that I used and created, making it easier for them to create quality models. I encourage you to subscribe to my blog, YouTube, and follow me on Twitter, to keep up to date with what I’m working on.

Some 3D models will be made available on this website for free and some may be made available for purchase on the store site. Some models or kits may also be made available for purchase in certain circumstances on the Train Enthusiasts’ Shop site, and you will be able to see this by visiting the models project page.

Sincerely,
Eric
